December 16 2010 - Maariv Minyan

The past week we've been having a very small turn out for our 9 PM Maariv minyan.  Barely being able to assemble 10 people, the people who have been coming have to make phone calls to have people come and the davening starts after 9:15 PM or even later.

A few nights the people who came had to go elsewhere due to the fact that there was not enough people.

We have people who need to say Kaddish every night. Please make every effort to join us and support the shul.

Siyum for Mescheta Sanhedrin

Mazel tov to all the learners who recently completed mesechta Sanhedrin. This Shabbos we had a beatiful siyum at the shul in honor of completing the mesechta which totals 113 dafim!

We'd all like to give a special thank you to Rabbi Shapiro for all the effort and time he puts in preparing and giving the Daf Yomi shiur each day.  Please take a few minutes to listen to his excellent daf shiurim here.

For those looking to start learning Gemara now is the best time to start.  Mesechta Makkos is only 24 dafim and is a very straight forward mesechta.  We have started uploading the shiurim for Makkos, please see our Daf Yomi section.
